Labrador tea
Description : Labrador tea is traditionally used for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is rich in flavonoids, including arbutin, a compound that may help support kidney function and soothe mild urinary tract infections. Studies also suggest that Labrador tea has calming and antispasmodic effects, which may be beneficial for digestive disorders. It has also been used to relieve symptoms of colds and coughs, thanks to its antiseptic properties.
Taste : Sweet, slightly floral, with notes of herbs and wood.
History : Used by Indigenous peoples in Canada and the northern United States, Labrador tea has long been used as a remedy for headaches, urinary tract infections, and cold symptoms. It was also prized for its calming and relaxing properties.
Instructions : Steep 1 to 2 teaspoons of dried Labrador tea leaves in 250 ml of hot water for 5 to 10 minutes, then strain.
